Setting Up Your LOA Mailbox
Before you can send and track LOAs, you need to connect an email account and then designate it as your LOA mailbox. The LOA mailbox is the account 4admin uses to send LOA requests and monitor provider replies.
Step 1: Connect Your Email
If you haven't already connected an Outlook mailbox to 4admin:
- Go to Settings
- Find the Contact Methods section
- Click Connect Outlook
- Sign in with your Microsoft account and approve the permissions
- You'll be redirected back to Settings with a confirmation message
If you've already connected a mailbox for chasing missing information, you can use the same one — you don't need to connect it again.
Step 2: Set Your LOA Mailbox
Once your email is connected, you need to tell 4admin which mailbox to use specifically for LOAs:
- In Settings > Contact Methods, click the LoA Mailbox button
- A modal will open showing all your connected mailboxes
- Select the email you want to use for LOAs using the radio buttons
- Click Set as LoA Mailbox
4admin will now use this mailbox to send LOA submissions and automatically monitor it for provider replies.
Use a dedicated mailbox for LOAs if possible. This keeps your LOA correspondence separate and makes tracking easier.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the LoA Mailbox button
- Make sure you have at least one connected mailbox
- The button is only available to admin users on plans with LOA access
No LoA Mailbox Configured warning
If you see this warning on the LOA page, click Configure LoA Mailbox to go to Settings and complete the setup above.
