Understanding 4admin Insights
4admin Insights is a panel on the LoA page that tells you the policy features we most often see on similar policies — so you know what to expect from a plan before the provider has replied.
It is built from the thousands of policies 4admin has already analysed. For the provider and plan number on your LoA, it surfaces the features that come up most consistently across comparable policies.
Where to find it
Open any LoA and look for the 4admin Insights card (marked with a sparkles icon), below the Status section. It is collapsed by default — click the header to expand it.
The card only appears when 4admin has enough matching data for that provider and plan number. If you don't see it, there simply isn't enough comparable data yet (more on this below).
How to read it
Each row shows three things:
| Part | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Feature | Death Benefit | A policy feature 4admin extracts |
| Typical value | Yes | The value we most commonly see for that feature |
| Consistency | 92% | How often similar policies have that value |
So "Death Benefit — Yes — 92%" reads as: across the similar policies we've analysed, 92% have a death benefit.
- Rows are sorted by consistency, highest first, so the most reliable signals are at the top.
- The card shows a short subtitle, "Based on N other policies", telling you how many comparable policies the insights are drawn from.
- The first ten features are shown in the card. If there are more, click View all insights to open the full list.
What counts as a "similar" policy
4admin matches on two things:
- The same provider, and
- The same first two characters of the plan number.
Plan numbers from a provider usually follow product-specific prefixes, so matching on the provider plus the first two characters groups together policies that tend to be the same product family. That is what makes the typical values meaningful.
Where the numbers come from
- The insights are aggregated from the policies 4admin has analysed, and are refreshed weekly.
- A feature is only shown when there is enough evidence behind it. 4admin only includes a provider/plan combination once it has at least ~20 similar policies, and only shows features whose typical value is consistent in at least ~85% of them.
- Because of those thresholds, the insights you see are limited to the features 4admin is genuinely confident about for that group of policies.
When you might not see insights
The panel is hidden, or shows nothing, when:
- The provider and plan prefix combination is new or rare — fewer than ~20 comparable policies have been analysed.
- The plan number is very short (fewer than two characters to match on).
- No feature reaches the consistency threshold for that group.
This is expected for unusual providers or brand-new products, and the panel will start to appear as more comparable policies are analysed over time.
Important to know
- Insights are indicative only. They describe what is typical for similar policies — they do not guarantee the same features on your client's actual policy. Always confirm the real details from the provider's response.
- Insights are read-only. They are reference information; there is nothing to edit, approve, or push.
A handy side effect
When you use Share status to generate an AI summary of an LoA, any insights that are available are passed to the summary as extra context. That helps the generated summary reflect what is typical for that kind of policy, alongside the live status of your request.
