Plannr Integration Guide
This guide explains what happens when you push policy data to Plannr from 4admin. For setup, see CRM Integrations.
What gets pushed
Plan data
| 4admin field | Plannr field | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Plan Number | Policy Number | Shown in plan details |
| Start Date | Opened At | Plan commencement date |
| Plan Value | Current Value | Pushed with the valuation date |
| Valuation Date | Current Value At | Only pushed when both a value and a date were found |
| Transfer Value | Transfer Value | Pushed with the valuation date |
| Waiver of Premium | Waiver | Yes/No |
Plannr stores amounts in pence, so 4admin converts them for you.
Fund holdings
If fund details are available, 4admin creates a holding for each fund in the sub-account you choose:
| Data | Plannr field | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fund name | Holding name | As shown in 4admin |
| Number of units | Units | High-precision decimals supported |
| Unit price | Price | Calculated as value ÷ units so Plannr reflects the correct valuation |
| ISIN / SEDOL | Identifiers | Included when available |
Contributions
Each contribution is pushed as an individual transaction:
| 4admin type | Plannr type | Plannr sub-type |
|---|---|---|
| Employee / Member | Payment | Regular Payments |
| Employer | Payment | Regular Employer Payments |
| Lump Sum | Payment | Lump Sum Payments |
| Transfer In | Contribution | Transfer In |
| Rebate | Rebate | Tax Rebates |
Withdrawals
Withdrawals are pushed as individual transactions too: regular withdrawals as Regular Withdrawals; lump sums (including PCLS, UFPLS, tax-free, small and trivial lump sums) as Lump Sum Withdrawals; natural income as Natural Income; transfers out as Cash Transfers Out (or Re-registrations Out for in-specie transfers).
Documents
Uploaded to the plan's documents folder:
- Uploaded policy document(s): the original document(s) you analysed
- Generated checklist document: the Word checklist, with or without page numbers
- 4admin Call Summary: only when the analysis includes calls made through 4admin
The push process
Step 1: Sign in to Plannr
Click Push to with the Plannr logo on the policy. A new tab opens for Plannr sign-in.
Step 2: Choose a firm
If your Plannr login has access to more than one firm, a Choose a firm window appears first. Pick the firm, then you can switch using the Firm dropdown above the client list if needed.
Step 3: Find the client
Type in Search for a client and press Enter. Select the correct client from the results.
Step 4: Select or create a plan
Under Select Plan, existing plans are listed as provider, name and policy number. Pick one to update it, or choose Create new... and fill in:
- Select Provider (hover for the provider 4admin detected)
- Select Plan Type: Pension or Investment
- Select Sub Type (hover for the type 4admin detected)
- Select Plan Status: Active, Inactive or Proposed
- On panel?: Yes or No
Create new... is disabled with the message Missing start date (required) if no start date was extracted. Add the start date on the policy in 4admin, or select an existing plan instead.
Step 5: Select a sub-account for funds
When you update an existing plan that has more than one sub-account and the policy has fund holdings, a Select Sub-account (for funds) dropdown appears. Choose where the holdings should go. It's disabled if you switch the Funds toggle off. New plans use the default main account.
Step 6: Choose what to push
Under We'll push these to the plan: each item has a toggle:
- Valuation: plan value as at the valuation date
- Transfer value
- Start Date
- Plan Number
- Waiver of premium
- Contributions: hover to see totals by type
- Withdrawals
- Funds: hover to see the fund list
A toggle that is greyed out with a warning icon means 4admin couldn't read that value in a valid format. When you update an existing plan you'll see the values already in Plannr (Latest valuation, Existing value) and links to Click to check existing contributions and Click to check existing holdings.
The Valuation toggle only appears when 4admin found both a plan value and a valuation date. There's no fallback to today's date. If the date is missing, add it on the policy and push again.
Step 7: Name your documents
- Uploaded policy document(s): toggle and title for the original document
- Generated checklist document: toggle and title for the checklist, plus Include page numbers
Names are pre-filled from your file naming templates.
Step 8: Push
Click Push data. When it finishes you'll see You're all done! with a summary of the documents, funds, contributions and withdrawals that landed, and an Open in Plannr button.
What appears in Plannr
- Plan details: policy number, provider, plan type and sub-type, status, opened date, current value with valuation date, transfer value, waiver of premium
- Holdings (under the chosen sub-account): fund name, units, unit price, ISIN or SEDOL
- Transactions: each contribution and withdrawal with date, type, sub-type and amount
- Documents: the policy document, the checklist and the call summary if applicable
Provider matching
When you create a new plan, the provider dropdown lists Plannr's providers. Hover the field to see the provider name 4admin detected in the document so you can find the right match.
Tips
- Make sure the start date was captured before creating a new plan.
- Plannr plan types are Pension or Investment. Use the sub-type for more detail.
- Check the contributions tooltip before pushing, especially when updating an existing plan.
Troubleshooting
- "Missing start date (required)": add the start date on the policy in 4admin, or select an existing plan.
- Contributions or holdings not appearing yet: they are pushed one by one in the background and can take a few moments. The done page summary updates as they land.
- Slow pushes: Plannr rate-limits requests. 4admin pauses and retries automatically.
