Overview

The 4admin x Selectapension Chrome extension automates data entry from 4admin into Selectapension, helping you:

• Improve compliance by reducing manual data entry errors
• Save up to 15 minutes per policy
• Streamline your workflow when creating pension switching analyses
• Process multiple plans at once for efficient bulk data entry

Installation

Step 1: Visit the Chrome Web Store

Navigate to the 4admin x Selectapension extension page.

Browser Compatibility

The extension works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other Chromium-based browsers.

Step 2: Add to Chrome

Click the "Add to Chrome" button. You'll be prompted to grant permissions for the extension to read and modify data on 4admin and Selectapension websites.

Step 3: Grant Permissions

The extension requires permission to:

• Read data from 4admin
• Write data to Selectapension

Privacy

We don't store or use any of your data externally. All data is temporarily stored in your browser session.

Step 4: Pin the Extension

After installation, pin the extension to your browser toolbar for quick access:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions) in your browser toolbar
2. Find "4admin x Selectapension" in the list
3. Click the pin icon to keep it visible

Usage

Extracting Data from 4admin

Single Plan Extraction

1. Open a policy in 4admin
2. Click the 4admin x Selectapension extension icon in your toolbar
3. Press "Extract single plan"
4. The extension will capture all relevant policy data

Multiple Plan Extraction

For processing multiple plans at once:

1. In 4admin, navigate to "Compare policies" to view all plan data side by side
2. Click the extension icon
3. Press "Extract multiple plans"
4. The extension will capture data for all visible plans (e.g., Scottish Widows, L&G, Aviva, etc.)

Filling Data in Selectapension

1. Navigate to Selectapension and open the specific client
2. Click "Create new analysis" → "Pensions" → "Switching"
3. Select your preferred proposed age and projection basis
4. Click the extension icon and press "Fill [X] plans"
5. Watch as the extension automatically fills in all fields

Important

Make sure you're on the pension switching analysis page in Selectapension before launching the extension to fill data.

Data Fields Populated

The extension automatically fills in:

Category	Fields
Plan Details	Provider, policy number, plan type
Values	Fund value, transfer value
Funds	Searches by ISIN/SEDOL and adds funds automatically
Fund Splits	Calculates percentage splits based on fund values
Projections	Provider-specific projection rates (when available)
Options	Life cover, waiver of premium (when applicable)

After Auto-Fill

Once the extension has filled in the data:

1. Review the populated fields against your 4admin records
2. Double-check projections — these often include various charges that may need verification
3. Add any additional details not captured by the extension
4. Verify life cover and waiver of premium boxes are correctly ticked based on the policy

Projections

If projections are provided by the provider and extracted by 4admin, they will be automatically added. Otherwise, default rates will be applied.

Tips for Best Results

• Use Compare Policies in 4admin when working with multiple plans — this makes extraction faster and more reliable
• Stay on the correct page in Selectapension when triggering the fill action
• Review charges carefully as projection calculations involve multiple charge components
