Overview

The 4admin x Selectapension Chrome extension copies policy data from 4admin into a Selectapension pension switching analysis. It helps you:

• Reduce manual data entry errors
• Save up to 15 minutes per policy
• Streamline your workflow when creating pension switching analyses
• Process several plans at once from the Compare policies view

Installation

Step 1: Visit the Chrome Web Store

Open the 4admin x Selectapension extension page.

Browser compatibility

The extension works on Chrome, Edge and other Chromium-based browsers.

Step 2: Add to Chrome

Click Add to Chrome. You'll be asked to grant the extension permission to read and change data on 4admin and Selectapension pages.

Step 3: Grant permissions

The extension needs permission to:

• Read data from 4admin
• Write data to Selectapension

Privacy

Nothing is sent anywhere. Extracted data is kept in your browser's local extension storage until a fill completes or you press Clear Data.

Step 4: Pin the extension

1. Click the puzzle-piece (Extensions) icon in your browser toolbar
2. Find 4admin x Selectapension
3. Click the pin icon to keep it visible

Usage

Extract data from 4admin

A single plan

1. Open a policy in 4admin
2. Click the extension icon in your toolbar
3. Press Extract Single Plan
4. The button changes to Fill N Mapped Fields (or Fill N Mapped Fields (with Projections) if projections were found)

Several plans at once

1. In 4admin, open Compare policies for the client so all the plans are shown side by side
2. Click the extension icon
3. Press Extract Multiple Plans
4. The extension captures every plan in the comparison and the button changes to Fill N Plans. Use the arrows in the extension to check each plan's data before filling.

Fill the data in Selectapension

1. In Selectapension, open the client and start a pension switching analysis
2. Choose your proposed age and projection basis
3. Click the extension icon and press Fill N Mapped Fields (single plan) or Fill N Plans (several plans)
4. The extension fills the fields, adds funds and charges, and runs the calculation. For several plans it adds a new plan for each one in turn.

tip

Make sure you're on the pension switching analysis page in Selectapension before you press Fill.

Fields populated

Category	Fields
Plan details	Provider; the 4admin policy type goes into the Product Name box; the scheme type is set to Personal Pension
Values	Fund value (also used as the death benefits value), transfer value (falls back to fund value), valuation date
Funds	Each fund is looked up by ISIN or SEDOL and added. Each lookup waits up to 15 seconds for results
Fund splits	Percentage splits calculated from the fund values
Charges	Adviser charge, platform or admin charge and product AMC are added as percentage fee rows in the Calculate dialog
Projections	Provider-specific projection rates when 4admin extracted them; otherwise your saved default rates
Options	Life cover and waiver of premium, where applicable

The plan number is not filled. Add it in Selectapension if you need it.

Projection rates

Click Manage Projection Rates in the extension to set the Low, Medium and High percentages used when the provider's own projections aren't available. Save stores them in the extension; Clear Data removes them along with the extracted plans.

After the fill

1. Review the populated fields against your 4admin records
2. Check the projections and charges. Projection calculations combine several charge components, so confirm they're what you expect
3. Add anything the extension doesn't capture, such as the plan number
4. Confirm life cover and waiver of premium are ticked correctly for the policy

Tips

• Use Compare policies in 4admin when you have several plans. Extraction is faster and more reliable from that view
• Stay on the switching analysis page in Selectapension when you press Fill
• Give fund lookups time. Each fund search can take up to 15 seconds
